DESCRIPTION

The collections new Gendarme range of frames also riffs on the Wonder Boy silhouette. I worked closely with the Akoni design team to create a new type of aviatorone that is clearly a cousin of the Wonder Boy, explains Rousteing. We managed to square off the Wonder Boy silhouette, splitting the signature front shield into two lenses that square up the navigators traditional teardrop shapes. And those lenses light tints deftly channel the same pastel tones that form a key part of Rousteings latest runway offerings. The pastels, notes the designer, seem perfectly paired with the Gendarmes overall feeling of exceptional lightness.
