DESCRIPTION

The latest iteration of our best-selling Brigade continues to build upon the 80s rock origins of the distinctive frame, while adding a striking brow bar crafted from Japanese titanium for this season. Among the color options are riffs on the Balmains signature black-and-gold combination, as well as a fresh silver titanium that is paired with a blue-swirl tone. That new icy blue color references the stripes of one of Balmains most important icons: the classic mariniere that originated on Frances Atlantic coast and is constantly updated on each of Olivier Rousteings runways. Repeated allusions to Pierre Balmains love of incorporating architectural codes into his designs will be quickly noted, such as the tactile metal patterns inspired by the strict mathematical precision behind the French Capitals fascinating Haussmannian formulas. Akonis design team has included several distinctive luxe touches as well, including the Brigade IVs unique side shield, which riffs on the rich, cracked leather patterns that Olivier Rousteing often incorporates into his Paris Fashion Week designs.
